This is the second meeting of the season between the squads. New Orleans is scheduled to host the Nuggets on January 28, 2008 at New Orleans Arena. The Hornets have won three of their last four contests at Denver. New Orleans opens a two-game road trip this evening. On Sunday, Chris Paul scored 29 points and dished out 10 assists to lift the Hornets to a 91-88 victory over the Seattle SuperSonics at New Orleans Arena. West finished with 15 points and 10 assists in the win for the Hornets, who escaped some free throw misses in the final minute to win for the fourth time in the last five games overall. The Hornets are 8-2 on the road this season. New Orleans is scheduled to visit reigning MVP Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks on Friday at American Airlines Center. The Nuggets conclude a two-game homestand. Allen Iverson scored 23 points, handed out 10 assists and hit the game-sealing free throws as Denver survived multiple rallies by the Sacramento Kings to earn a 101-97 victory on Saturday at the Pepsi Center. Kenyon Martin finished with a season-high 20 points to go along with 12 rebounds, while Anthony Carter netted 17 and Carmelo Anthony scored 14 points in the victory for Denver, which has won four of its last five games overall and improved to 9-3 at home on the season. Denver will visit Tony Parker and the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday at the AT&T Center.
