(My Sportsbook) - The
New York Knicks attempt to halt a three-game losing streak when they host the Seattle SuperSonics tonight at Madison Square Garden.
This is the first of two meetings between the clubs this season. Seattle is scheduled to host the Knicks on February 2, 2008 at KeyArena.
The teams split a pair of contests last season. The SuperSonics have won two of their last three at New York.
New York has dropped three in a row and concludes a three-game homestand against the SuperSonics. On Monday, reigning MVP Dirk Nowitzki scored a season-high 36 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Dallas Mavericks over the Knicks, 99-89, at Madison Square Garden.
Zach Randolph scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the setback for the Knicks, who have lost by double-digits in their last three games. Jamal Crawford added 19 points and Fred Jones netted 16 for New York, which played without grieving point guard Stephon Marbury.
Marbury missed Monday's game as he continues to deal with the death of his father, who passed away recently.
The Knicks are 5-6 at home this season. They will visit the Chicago Bulls on Friday at the United Center.
Seattle plays the third of a five-game road trip and is 0-2 on the current swing. On Tuesday, Ben Gordon scored 27 points to lead the Chicago Bulls to an easy 123-96 win over the SuperSonics at the United Center.
Rookie phenom Kevin Durant scored 16 points, while Wally Szczerbiak and Mickael Gelabale added 12 points apiece in the loss for the SuperSonics, who have lost nine of their last 12 games overall.
The SuperSonics will visit the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday at the Target Center and the Utah Jazz on Saturday at EnergySolutions Arena.
