=== San Jose Sharks Team Report - December 1 === (My Sportsbook) - Patrick Marleau scored late in the second period to lift the San Jose Sharks to a 2-1 victory over the Edmonton Oilers at Rexall Place. Brad Stuart also scored for the streaking Sharks, who have won five straight and are unbeaten in their last seven (5-0-2). Vesa Toskala stopped 35-of-36 shots for San Jose, which is now tied with Los Angeles atop the Pacific Division. San Jose evened the game at 1-1 with 50 seconds left in the opening period on a power-play goal by Stuart. He beat a screened Ty Conklin with a slap shot from the right point on the Sharks' first shot of the game. Marleau staked the Sharks to a 2-1 edge with 4:03 remaining in the second period. Conklin stopped Vincent Damphousse's wrister from just outside the crease, but Marleau was able to backhand the rebound underneath the goaltender's pads. Toskala stopped 14 shots in the first period, 13 in the second and came up with eight more crucial stops to keep Edmonton off the board in the final 20 minutes. The Sharks, 6-3-3-1 on the road, will conclude a three-game trip Tuesday in Calgary
