Jaroslav Modry's goal late in the second period snapped a tie and lifted the Kings to victory. LA is now tied with the San Jose Sharks atop the Pacific Division at 26 points -- one ahead of the Stars and Mighty Ducks. Sergei Zubov tallied the lone goal for Dallas, which had a three-game winning streak halted. Marty Turco made 19 saves for the Stars. After Modry's score, Dallas didn't pose much of a threat, as it managed only two shots in the third period. Dallas' Mike Modano was forced to leave the game early in the second period after taking a stick to the face from Alexander Frolov. Modano suffered an eye contusion and a nose laceration. The Stars, 8-4-2 on home ice, will open a four-game road trip Thursday in Los Angeles. |
