Philadelphia 76ers and
New York Knicks wrap up a home- and-home set, as they battle tonight at Madison Square Garden.
On Friday, Samuel Dalembert scored 20 points, grabbed eight rebounds and blocked three shots to help the Sixers down the Knicks, 101-90, at the Wachovia Center.
Louis Williams added 15 points and six assists and Andre Iguodala also had 15 points for the Sixers, who ended a three-game slide. Willie Green tallied 14 points and Andre Miller finished with nine points, 11 assists and seven rebounds for Philadelphia, which ended a three-game homestand 1-2 and improved to 1-1 under new general manager Ed Stefanski.
Reggie Evans had 11 points and 12 rebounds in the victory for the Sixers.
Jamal Crawford had a game-high 28 points, scoring 17 in the fourth quarter, and dished out eight assists for the Knicks, who failed to follow-up Wednesday night's win in New Jersey with their second road win of the season.
David Lee tallied 16 points and 11 rebounds and Quentin Richardson added 15 points and eight boards for New York, which fell to 4-3 over its last seven games overall and 1-8 on the road this season.
Stephon Marbury and Eddy Curry returned to the lineup on Friday for the Knicks. Marbury missed Wednesday's 100-93 win over New Jersey as he attended his father's funeral, which was on Thursday. Curry, meanwhile, was out with a left ankle injury.
Marbury ended with just two points and two assists in only a little more than 13 minutes of action, while Curry netted 12 in defeat.
The Sixers are 2-6 on the road, while New York is 5-4 at home this season.
Philadelphia has won two of its last three at New York.
After tonight's contest, the Sixers return home for a three-game homestand. They are scheduled to host the Houston Rockets, Minnesota Timberwolves and Sacramento Kings on the upcoming stand.
New York plays the first of a three-game homestand this evening. The Knicks will host the Dallas Mavericks on Monday and the Seattle SuperSonics on Wednesday at Madison Square Garden.
