Buenos Aires, Argentina (My Sportsbook) - Independiente blew a chance to take the top spot in Argentina on Sunday as the club suffered a 2-1 loss to San Lorenzo. With the loss, Lanus hangs on to the lead by two points after a 2-0 win over San Martin on Friday. With five games remaining, the title is not likely to be decided until the final week because there is just six points separating the top eight teams. San Lorenzo took the lead in the 27th minute through an Adrian Gonzalez penalty kick before German Denis equalized for Independiente before halftime after San Lorenzo's Osmar Ferreyra was sent off. Independiente did not enjoy the numerical edge for long, however, as Lucas Mareque was shown a red card in the 58th minute, and San Lorenzo found the match winner midway through the second half with a goal from Jorge Ortiz.
