Atlanta, GA (My Sportsbook) - Atlanta Hawks center Nazr Mohammed was placed on the injured list Thursday because of a stress fracture in his right foot. He is expected to be sidelined for the next 4-to-6 weeks. Mohammed started 73 of the 82 games he played in last season and averaged career-highs with 9.7 points and 7.9 rebounds. The Hawks filled the roster spot by signing forward Amal McCaskill, who was waived earlier this week by Portland. He averaged 3.8 points and 2.6 rebounds in five pre-season games for the Trail Blazers. McCaskill played in 27 games for San Antonio last season. |
