Seattle, WA (My Sportsbook) - The Seattle SuperSonics signed former Oregon guard Luke Ridnour, one of the team's two first-round draft picks, to a three- year contract on Wednesday. Ridnour was selected with the 14th overall pick, two picks after the team chose former Kansas forward Nick Collison. Collison signed with the Sonics on Monday. Ridnour is suffering from a fractured pelvis, and though he will not play for Seattle's entry in the Southern California Summer Pro League, he should be ready for the start of Seattle's training camp. The injury, which was originally thought to be an abdominal strain, likely occurred in June during a workout with the Milwaukee Bucks. Ridnour left Oregon after his junior season, a year in which he averaged 19.7 points and 6.6 assists in 33 games. In three campaigns with the Ducks, Ridnour posted averages of 14.8 points and 5.2 assists per game. Contract terms were not disclosed, but a three-year deal for the 14th pick in 2003 should be worth about $3.8 million, according to the NBA rookie salary scale.
