Perryville, MD (My Sportsbook) - Maryland State police arrested a man who said he played guard for the Seattle SuperSonics. Joseph Forte was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a handgun. He was originally stopped for speeding along Interstate 95, but when troopers approached the vehicle, they smelled burning marijuana. Police clocked Forte going 90 miles-per-hour in a 65 mph zone in Harford County. During the search of the vehicle, several small plastic containers or bags of marijuana were discovered and a .22 caliber handgun was found under the rear seat. The Sonics' Forte played in 17 games last season and averaged 1.4 points per contest. contest.
