Chehalis, WA (My Sportsbook) - Portland Trail Blazers forward Rasheed Wallace worked out an arrangement in Lewis County District Court Monday to have a misdemeanor drug charge dropped. Wallace agreed to attend drug counseling, pay a $650 fine and avoid legal problems for the next six months in order to have marijuana charges against him dropped. Following a game against the Seattle SuperSonics in late November, Wallace and teammate Damon Stoudamire were passengers in a vehicle that was pulled over for speeding on a highway outside Chehalis. Police searched the vehicle and found a small amount of marijuana. Stoudamire, Wallace and driver Ed Smith of Portland were cited and released. All three pleaded innocent to the charges, which are punishable by a fine of up to $1,000 and three months in jail. Stoudamire previously agreed to attend drug and alcohol counseling and remain out of legal trouble for the next year in order to have the misdemeanor charges against him dropped. Smith also agreed to the same terms. The hearing for Wallace was put off because he had not yet completed a drug evaluation survey.
