GOLDEN, Colo. (AP) -Former Denver Broncos tight end Clarence Kay was sentenced Friday to six months in jail after pleading guilty to harassment in a domestic violence case. Kay, who played in three Super Bowls with the Broncos from 1984 to 1992, was arrested last month by Edgewater police. He entered his plea Tuesday. Kay has a history of arrests on domestic violence charges, including assault, disturbing the peace and violating restraining orders. He was arrested at least 12 times in Colorado between 1984 and June 2000, but half the charges were dismissed. In July 1997, Kay began serving a 540-day sentence in the Denver County Jail, that resulted from a spree domestic violence arrests. He was in jail when the Broncos won Super Bowl XXXII in January 1998. Copyright © 2005 The Associated Press. All rights reserved.
