In 47 games with the Tar Heels, Brown compiled 230 tackles with 5 1/2 sacks and seven interceptions. placed on the reserve/retired list on Wednesday. He retired from the NFL before playing one snap for the Bengals, who signed him back on April 12. Bell would have been entering his ninth season this year. He spent the previous four seasons with the St. Louis Rams and started 12 games for the team last season. He broke into the NFL in 2004 with the Tennessee Titans, who selected him out of the University of Miami-Ohio in the fifth round of the 2004 draft. He played in 109 games over his career with 100 starts.
Weeden hopes to solve Browns' age-old QB problem NFL Football 05/08/2012
as good as Blackmon on the Browns' roster. Although the Browns' interest in Weeden was widely reported during the week leading up to the draft, they were supposedly leaning toward taking Baylor wide receiver Kendall Wright with the No. 22 pick. The Tennessee Titans, however, surprisingly picked Wright at No. 20. Instead of taking the next wide receiver on their draft board, the Browns picked Weeden at 22. I wasn't a fan of the move on the first night of the draft because I thought the Browns could have taken a

tribute on special teams in the return game. Johnson finished his Montana career with 15 interceptions and 39 pass breakups. Montana did not have a player drafted last year. Johnson is the Big Sky Conference power's first selection since free safety Shann Schillinger (Atlanta Falcons, sixth round) and wide receiver Marc Mariani (Tennessee Titans, seventh round) were taken in the 2010 draft. He was the first Montana player drafted in the top three rounds since Scott Gragg was picked in the second round in 1995.
Line of Scrimmage: Second-round draft predictions NFL Football 04/27/2012
1) Baltimore Ravens (projected trade with Philadelphia thru Arizona): Peter Konz, C, Wisconsin -- Polished technician could step in for the departed Ben Grubbs at left guard this season and eventually take over for the aging Matt Birk at center. 52) Tennessee Titans: Casey Hayward, CB, Vanderbilt -- Savvy zone corner who put together a good career in the rugged SEC playing a stone's throw away from LP Field. Could aid the Titans immediately as a nickel defender. 53) Cincinnati Bengals: Mohamed Sanu, WR, Rutgers
