ST. LOUIS (AP) - San Francisco 49ers rookie cornerback Phillip Adams has been carted off with a left leg injury on the kickoff return to start the second half. Adams, a seventh-round pick who has not started, was blocking on the kickoff Sunday against the St. Louis Rams. After the injury he was flat on his back for several minutes while medical personnel evaluated the injury.
