ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) -The Denver Broncos have claimed linebacker Bruce Davis off waivers from New England. The third-year pro spent most of last season on the Patriots' practice squad after playing in five games as a rookie in 2008 for the Pittsburgh Steelers, who had made him a third-round draft selection out of UCLA. Davis ranked second in school history with 29 sacks and was a first-team All Pac-10 selection his senior season. Davis was waived by the Patriots on Thursday.Copyright © 2005 The |

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) -When Tim Tebow moved ahead of Tom Brandstater to take the third-team quarterback repetitions at the Denver Broncos' passing camp Thursday, the least known of the team's four quarterbacks shrugged it off. ``The order doesn't matter to me,'' Brandstater said. ``The reps I get, I need to make them count, and that goes for every guy on the team.'' With all the questions raised about incumbent Kyle Orton's hold on the job after the drafting of Tebow, a former Heisman Trophy winner at |

Coach Josh McDaniels says Stokley has missed several of the team's spring practices since falling on his shoulder during a recent workout. He did not elaborate on when Stokley suffered the injury, and, as a matter of routine, does not put a timeline on a player's return from injury. The injury put another hole in the |

On a blustery day when a 45-foot pine tree next to one of the team's practice fields was blown over by wind gusts that reached 70 mph, coach Josh McDaniels emphatically denied the Denver Broncos were trying to deal one of their four quarterbacks. There's been speculation that the Broncos have considered trading starter Kyle Orton to make room for Brady Quinn and Tim Tebow or maybe even Tom Brandstater. McDaniels said none of the Broncos |

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) -Kyle Orton's designs on a long-term contract from the Denver Broncos took a hit with the offseason acquisitions of Brady Quinn and Tim Tebow.
