Cardinals' Hall lands on IR NFL Football 12/07/2010
Tempe, AZ (MySportsbook) - The Arizona Cardinals on Tuesday placed rookie quarterback Max Hall on injured reserve with a left shoulder ailment and signed quarterback Richard Bartel. Hall, 25, started three of the six games he played this season. The BYU product threw for 370 yards on 39-of-78 attempts, one touchdown and six interceptions. Bartel joins the Cardinals after a stint with the UFL's Sacramento Mountain Lions this season. He had spent the preseason with the Washington Redskins and was among the fina
Rams LB Diggs out for season with pectoral injury NFL Football 12/06/2010
St. Louis, MO (MySportsbook) - St. Louis Rams veteran linebacker Na'il Diggs suffered a torn pectoral muscle in Sunday's 19-6 win over the Arizona Cardinals and will miss the rest of the season, Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo said on Monday. The 32-year-old will probably undergo a surgical procedure this week Spagnuolo said and recovery time is expected to be about five months. Diggs signed with the Rams as a free agent in April after spending the previous four seasons with Carolina and registered 36 total t

uld fine the Titans for not fighting." -- CBS studio analyst Bill Cowher at halftime of the Titans' lifeless showing against the Jaguars. - Quote of the Week II: "Sometimes you're the bull, sometimes you're the drunk in the middle of the street." -- Arizona Cardinals color commentator Ron Wolfley at some point of Sunday's 19-6 loss to St. Louis. For those with satellite radio and the availability to listen to all the NFL games, I strongly recommend tuning into a Cardinals' broadcast just for the immense entertai
Sputtering Arizona could turn to rookie QB Skelton NFL Football 12/06/2010

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -The sinking Arizona Cardinals might turn to rookie John Skelton as the team's third starting quarterback of the season.

Coach Ken Whisenhunt wouldn't name Skelton the starter for Sunday's game against Denver, but Derek Anderson is being evaluated for a concussion and backup Max Hall is out with a dislocated shoulder.

Even if Anderson is cleared to play, Whisenhunt could turn to Skelton, based on the increasingly poor performance at quarterback through the team's seven-game losing streak

Brown kicks 4 FGs, Rams top Cardinals NFL Football 12/06/2010
Glendale, AZ (MySportsbook) - Steven Jackson scored a touchdown and Josh Brown kicked four field goals as the St. Louis Rams topped the Arizona Cardinals, 19-6, at University of Phoenix Stadium. Brown went 4-for-4 on field goal attempts and Jackson rushed for 102 yards on 28 carries for the Rams (6-6), who have won two straight to keep pace with Seattle for first place in the NFC West. "To come out with this win was very meaningful," said Jackson. Sam Bradford threw for 187 yards on 18-of-29 passing and Brand

Cardinals QB Hall sidelined after hit NFL Football 12/05/2010
Glendale, AZ (MySportsbook) - Arizona Cardinals rookie quarterback Max Hall left Sunday's game against the Rams after suffering a left shoulder injury. Hall was thrown to the ground on a pass attempt to Steve Breaston on the Cardinals' first series of the fourth quarter. He remained on the ground following the play, then was taken to the sideline and replaced by rookie John Skelton. Hall had replaced ineffective starter Derek Anderson in the final minutes of the third quarter.
Revived Rams looking to take control in NFC West NFL Football 12/04/2010

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) -The St. Louis Rams are favored on the road and a threat to win the NFC West. The Arizona Cardinals are in a free-fall with no sign of the bottom.

My, how things have changed since Arizona's 17-13 season-opening victory at St. Louis.

``It seems like three years ago we played that game,'' Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo said. `` ... We certainly are a different team we think, hopefully better.''

There's no question about that.

Cardinals defensive trio questionable for Sunday NFL Football 12/03/2010
Tempe, AZ (MySportsbook) - Arizona Cardinals linebacker Clark Haggans along with defensive lineman Calais Campbell and Dan Williams are all listed as questionable for Sunday's game with St. Louis. Haggans was limited in practice all week by a groin injury while Williams was also limited throughout the week due to a knee injury. Campbell, bothered by an ankle injury, did not practice Wednesday and returned to the field on a limited basis Thursday and Friday.
Arizona defense wonders what happened since opener Headlines 12/03/2010

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -The Arizona Cardinals defense has repeatedly watched video this week of the season opener against St. Louis and wondered what became of that strong, confident team.

The Cardinals, two-time defending NFC West champions, went to St. Louis and won 17-13 in Rams quarterback Sam Bradford's pro debut.

Safety Kerry Rhodes says all the Cardinals defensive players looked different. All had what coach Ken Whisenhunt calls the swagger that the team came into the year with.

Now, Rhodes says, ``th
